Biogas Hybrid Bus Conference now open for registration!
SKYSS and HOG Energi are pleased to invite you to a conference part of the EU project More Baltic Biogas Buses, Monday 17th of March 2014 in Bergen.
SKYSS has purchased two 24 meter long gas hybrid buses that will be tested in Bergen. The buses are funded with support from Transnova and the Interreg EU-project "Baltic Biogas Bus", which SKYSS and HOG Energi have taken part in since 2009.
In the demonstration project we aim to gain experience with biogas hybrid buses both in terms of energy consumption and emissions. In addition, we will look at how such a long bus behaves in traffic. In about a year or so, we expect also these buses to run on locally produced biogas from the new sewage production plant in Rådalen Bergen .
In connection with this project, we invite now to a conference where we go into the politics and ideas behind the investment in biogas hybrid buses, the choices when it comes to hybrid technology, biogas production technology and bus design. Among others, Bus Manufacturer Van Hool will present their Exqui.City 24.
